Lei Making Workshop

Friday, August 5 | 6:00-7:00 pm | Coronation Pavilion, Queen’s Marketplace

This event is on a first come, first served basis and is limited to 15 persons. Join the lovely kumus (instructors) as you make your very own Puakalaunu (crown flower) lei. A lei in Hawai’i represents a non-verbal expression of aloha such as love, respect, joy, a welcomed greeting, and many more. In Hawai’i the crown flower resembles the royal crown as it was widely known as Queen Liliuokalani’s favorite blossom. The crown flower is also the logo of the Queens’ Marketplace.

 

Make-A-Wish Hawai’i’s 40th Anniversary Event

Saturday, August 20 |10:00 am-2:00 pm | Coronation Pavilion, Queen’s Marketplace

Come and celebrate the 40th anniversary of Make-A-Wish Hawai’i with prize giveaways, live entertainment, children games, and more for the whole family. To commemorate the life-changing wishes provided to local children with critical illnesses, Make-A-Wish Hawai’i will be hosting free anniversary events every Saturday in August starting on Kauai then Maui, the Big Island, and Oahu.

 

Monthly Concert Series Featuring Kris Fuchigami

Every third Saturday of the month the Queens’ Marketplace hosts a live concert with music from a wide range of musical talents such as traditional Hawaiian and island music to rock, jazz, and the blues. This month we are blessed with the talented Kris Fuchigami and many more!

 

43rd Visitor Industry Charity Walk

Saturday, August 20 | Waikoloa Bowl, Queens’ Marketplace

The 43rd Visitor Industry Charity Walk is a benefit for non-profit agencies on the Big Island. Since 1979, the Big Island has raised over $5.6 million to support our hundreds of diverse non-profit organizations around the island. Get some exercise while supporting our island’s non-profits, the event will also feature food vendors, games, silent auctions, photo booths and entertainment.

Hawaii Calls Restaurant

Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

Hawaii Calls features a variety of unique and delicious dishes with a Pacific Rim flare. Experience the stunning ocean views at this poolside restaurant. Dining is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Live entertainment is featured at the restaurant every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the month 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. Hawaii Calls also features an exclusive event, Chef Series, every Thursday night. This event features a four course dinner paired with your choice of select cocktails or wines in a private venue. Each month features a new experience with various local distilleries, ranchers, farmers, and fishermen. Great Waikoloa Canoe Race

This year the Waikoloa Beach Club will be hosting the Great Waikoloa Canoe Race at Anaeho’omalu Bay.

 

Family Golf Program

Kings’ Nine Course | After 3 pm

It is time to let the kiddos join in on the fun! Hawai’i’s Premiere 27-hole Golf Experience hosts a family golf program for junior golfers ages 6-17. Adults accompanied by junior golfers are $25 plus tax and receive complimentary rental clubs. Green tees for adults joined by junior golfers are $50 with rental clubs at $25 per set. Rates include bottled water, shared cart, unlimited use of practice facilities on the day of play, rates are per person and exclude Hawai’i State GE Tax.
