Weekly Hula Performance

Every Wednesday | 6:00-7:00 pm | Coronation Pavilion, Queens’ Marketplace

Support a local halau as they perform a free one hour hula show for you. The performance showcases both kahiko (traditional) and modern forms of hula to tell the ancient stories of Hawaii. *March 15 performance has been canceled*


Kanikapila Monthly Concert Series

Every third Saturday of the Month | 6:00 pm | Coronation Pavilion, Queens’ Marketplace

Every third Saturday of the month the Queens’ Marketplace hosts a live concert with music from a wide range of musical talents such as traditional Hawaiian and island music to rock, jazz, and the blues. This month we are blessed with the talented Na Hoku Hanohano award winning songwriter, music producer, and recording artist Ryan Hiraoka, don’t miss out on this fun and free event!


Lei Making Workshop

First Friday of the Month | 6:00-7:00 pm | Coronation Pavilion, Queens’ Marketplace

This event is on a first come, first served basis and is limited to 15 persons. Join the lovely kumus (instructors) as you make your very own Puakalaunu (crown flower) lei. A lei in Hawai’i represents a non-verbal expression of aloha such as love, respect, joy, a welcomed greeting, and many more. In Hawai’i the crown flower resembles the royal crown as it was widely known as Queen Liliuokalani’s favorite blossom. The crown flower is also the logo of the Queens’ Marketplace.

 

Makeke Ma Ke Kai Night Market

Second and Fourth Friday of the Month | Kings’ Shops

Join in on the festivities at the Kings’ Shops on March 10 and the 24th. This new monthly night market features live music, food trucks and various vendors. You will not want to miss this opportunity to enjoy an eventful night out!

 

Lakeside Mini Golf

Enjoy your evening at the Lakeside Mini Golf course available for the whole family. The professionally designed nine-hole putting course will have even the most skilled practicing. World’s Longest Ti Leaf Lei

Be a part of a Guinness World Record as the Marriott attempts to break the current record for the longest lei. The Marriott is encouraging visitors to add to the length to hopefully reach its goal of a 5 mile lei!

 

2023 Lavaman Triathlon

March 26, 2023 | 7:00 am- 12:00 pm | Waikoloa Beach Resort

The Lavaman Triathlon is celebrating its 25th year! The Lavaman is a Premier Olympic Distance Triathlon in which participants endure 32 miles of swimming, running, and biking. Participants will start off with a 1.5K swim through Anaeho’omalu Bay (A Bay), then bike a 40K course through Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway, and finish with a 10K run through the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Regardless if you are cheering on your loved one from the sidelines or participating, don’t forget to join in on the After Party at A Bay! There will be live entertainment as well as food and drinks from the event sponsors, Lava Lava Beach Club, the Hilton Waikoloa Village, and Kona Brewing Co.
