Update (March 1, 2022): For stays beginning after March 25, 2022 the Hawaii Safe Travels program will no longer be in place. This means that you do not need to provide a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination. Please check local government regulations as this policy is further implemented over the course of the next few weeks.
For reservations made on or after March 2, 2022
For any stay beginning after March 25, 2022 our standard cancellation policy will be in place. This policy is that once the deposit is paid the deposit is lost if you cancel. The rent is due 60 days prior to arrival. Once the rent is paid nothing is refundable unless we are able to rebook the property.
In the event Hawaii puts any restrictions on travel such as reimplementing the Hawaii Safe Travel program, the prior cancellation policy (below) will apply.
While the State of Hawaii does not require it, if you test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of traveling and wish to cancel your reservation we will allow you to do so and receive a 97% refund. A test will need to be provided from a lab with someone in the travel parties name on it. At home tests will not be accepted under any situation.

For reservations made prior to March 2, 2022
Due to COVID-19 our cancellation policy has changed. This will supersede our standard cancellation policy through 2022.
In the event Hawaii reinstitutes the mandatory 14 day quarantine, guests will have the option to use all the funds towards a credit for a future stay at any of our properties within a year of their original booking or can get a refund less a 3% processing fee of any funds already processed. This will also be the case if your state, country, or province institutes a policy that completely restricts travel to the State of Hawaii. This will need to be a formal policy instituted, not a recommendation by an authority.
In the event some one in your direct travel party tests positive within 5 days of traveling to Hawaii or is hospitalized you will have the same option as above. The positive test result or letter from the hospital will need to be provided to Waikoloa Vacation Rentals.
There are several insurance companies that do provide COVID-19 coverage and if it is a concern to you or your family we would recommend considering one of those.
You can view the travel requirements and more information for the State of Hawaii at Safe Travels Hawaii.
