Every year Waikoloa Beach Resort holds a Fourth of July extravaganza for the whole family to enjoy. The King Shops will be holding their annual Great Waikoloa Rubber Duckie Race on Monday, July 4th; the proceeds will go to the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawai’i. The Rubber Duckie Race will begin at 3 pm, lakeside; whether you enter a duckie or not, it is a grand event to watch. The prizes are incredible this year, with over $20,000 in prizes for the first 50 ducks to cross the finish line as well as the duck in last place. The King Shops will also be hosting an array of other activities such as watermelon and shave ice eating contests, tattoos, face painting, the Police will be doing their annual Keiki ID, and there will be live music at center stage. The festivities will take place from 11 am to 5 pm, July 4, 2022.
The Queen’s Marketplace will also be hosting its annual Fourth of July Family Celebration. Unfortunately, the Waikoloa Beach Resort will not be hosting their annual firework show this year due to the repercussions of COVID-19 and short staffing. However, the rest of their festivities will still be taking place. Join in on the fun at the bowl (big grass lawn) with live music on stage, entertainment, and classic lawn games. Queen’s Marketplace will also be hosting popcorn and cotton candy stands, free face painting, and great food. The festivities will take place from 2 pm to 6 pm, July 4, 2022.
