Waikoloa Beach Resort had traditionally been one of the best places to spend New Years at on the Big Island of Hawaii! New Years 2024 will not be any different as there are several options to choose from.
***This article was written on November 7 so is limited to what information has been released at that point. We will update it as more information is made available.
If you will be staying in Waikoloa Beach Resort for both New Year’s and Christmas, we highly recommend selecting what you will do for Christmas well in advance as well. You can view the Waikoloa Beach Resort Christmas events here.

New Year’s Eve Luau Under the Stars
While there is a Christmas luau offered, we recommend just doing one during your stay and doing this one. It is an extended luau on the Lagoon Lanai from 6-10pm. For the most part the food is traditional luau favorites with a few holiday favorites added in. The luau will end with a firework show over the saltwater lagoon at 9pm. The cost is $288 for adults and $168 for children 5-12.
New Year’s Eve at KPC
For those looking for something more formal, enjoy a fixed 3 course champagne dinner menu. The menu is made up mostly of traditional Pacific Rim cuisine items and is sure not to disappoint. While you more than likely will not have the view of the fireworks that those at the luau will have you are likely to be able to take a few steps off the lanai and enjoy the show if you happen to be dining at 9pm. This is sure to sell out so if you want to enjoy this option you will need to make reservations well in advance.
New Year’s Eve at Nui Italian
Looking to enjoy a nice dinner without the cost of the other options, Nui Italian would be your choice. It will be a traditional limited Italian menu and while the prices have not been released yet, it is sure to be less expensive than the other offerings.
