Big Island Beaches

Not only does the Big Island of Hawaii have a number of beaches to offer, but all of the beaches are unique in their own way.  From the traditional white sand beaches to black and green sand beaches, there is something for everyone.  Some beaches are known for family fun with playing in the sand and in the waves, while others are known for their seclusion and hiking to get to them. Almost any beach is sure to offer some amazing snorkeling!

The Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii is where most vacationers stay and there are a number of great beaches along that coast line.  All of these beaches except for Punalu’u and Green Sand Beach you will find within a 15 minute drive from our Waikoloa Beach Resort vacation rentals. Some you will find directly within the resorts, while others are a short drive.
