Kolea 14M: Two Bedroom Ocean View Villa at Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort

We spent a week at Kolea 14M and found the Condo to be a wonderful place to spend time on the Big Island. The Condo's Kitchen, Deck and accomodations were wonderful way to spend time with our family. The ocean and beautiful beach were just a short walk away. The fact that the beach was shared with sea turtles was just an added bonus. We had a great vacation and would return in a minute if we could. Thanks for taking care of us.

Stayed one week in July 2009 in 14M. By far the best condo I have ever rented (including residence). Outstanding amenities (3 plasma TVs, bose stereo system, Viking applicances, etc, etc), great views, beatiful pool, walking paths, walk to stores, shops and restaurants. Highly recommended and would definately return.

Our family stayed about 12 days over the 2009 Christmas holiday season in 14M. The unit is beautifully decorated and very comfortable to stay in. Like another guest commented, it is the nicest condominium I have ever stayed in. More generally, Waikoloa has a lot to offer and the Kolea complex is well situated near stores, the beach, and the Marriott hotel. It is also reasonably close to the Hilton. I would highly recommend it. The weather in Kona was gorgeous almost every day. It is important to know about the Mauna Kea hotel and Hapuna State Park Beach in order to find nice sandy beaches with good waves nearby. The beach in Waikoloa is protected by a barrier reef and has some submerged rocks to contend with. The Kona area itself is generally nice, but does not have the scenic beauty of other islands, such as Maui and Kauai, due to the extensive lava fields (unless you like miles and miles of lava) and the arid, desert-like, conditions. That said, other portions of the Big Island contend with the other Hawaiian islands for scenic beauty.

If I were to build a new home I would incorporate the same floor plan and use the same fine materials that this beautiful vacation home offers. This is the most comfortable and luxurious accomodation my family has ever experienced. The location of Kolea on the Kona Coast is most spectacular. From the doorstep of the condo to the beach is nothing less than beautiful. Perhaps best described as "being in paradise". The time we spent was very relaxing and hard to leave behind. All the best comforts of home are here. We look forward to returning to the very same place. The only problem....how do you stay for a least three months? ENJOY!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in Kolea 14M! This was our third time staying at Kolea, and it won't be our last! We love everything about this lovely vacation home! It's clean, elegant, comfortable, beautiful, quiet and the view is lovely! We know we always say this after vacationing in Kolea...but this really was our best vacation ever! Thank you so much!
