The Kings’ and Queens Shops offer an array of activities, shopping, and dining for travelers to the Waikoloa Beach Resort.  Each shopping area offers an open air setting and a uniqueness to what they offer.

The Kings’ Shops have been around the longest and are located along Kings’ Pond in the Waikoloa Beach Resort.  It is home to the nationally known Roys’ restaurant, which is known for a tastefull Pacific Rim cuisine and some amazing mai tais.  You will also find a Starbucks for your morning cup of coffee.  Along with the excellent shopping and restaurants you will find some fun activities for the family.  On Fourth of July, they have the annual Rubber Duckie Race at Kings’ Pond along with the entertainment.  Weekly you will find local activities such as hula and ukulele playing.  The best part is that the Kings’ Shops are just a short walk away from Kolea and Vista Waikoloa!

As the Waikoloa Beach Resort expanded, there became a need for more amenities for the Waikoloa Beach Resort.  In 2007, the Queens Shops opened, which are almost adjacent the Kings’ Shops.  The best feature of the Queens Shops was that it offers a grocery store that offers almost any parishable as well as nonparishable item you could need during your stay.  The Queens Marketplace also offers shopping and dining areas.  You will also find a Dairy Queen, Arbys, and other fast food restaurants at the Food Court.  Since being built, the Queens Shops has become the center of most major activities at the Waikoloa Beach Resort.

Weekly you will find Movies Under the Starts at the pavilion at the Queens Shops.  This offers a nice family atmosphere to enjoy a childrens movie along with a Hawaiian shaved ice from the Food Court.  Due to the days and times changing, please leave a comment below to get the dates and times if you are interested.

Waikoloa Bowl at Queens Garden offers a large lawn setting for the largest activities at Waikoloa Beach Resort.  On the Fourth of July you can enjoy the fireworks show from here along with popcorn, games, and much more.  You will also find concerts here once or twice a year.  Each month there are 2-3 local events held here such as Celebration of the Hula.

The Kings’ and Queens Shops are great features of the Waikoloa Beach Resort and provide excellent services and amenities to people traveling to the Big Island of Hawaii.
